L Visa (Tourist Visa)

Most commonly used for short-term medical travel. Suitable for checkups, dental, eye surgery, and other short-term procedures. Typically allows 30-day stays, with extension possible.

M Visa (Business/Medical Visa)

Some patients use M visa for longer-term treatment. Requires an invitation letter from a Chinese medical institution. Suitable for treatments requiring longer stays.

Visa-Free Transit (Updated 2024)

China has extended visa-free transit to 240 hours (10 days) for many nationalities at multiple ports of entry. Some nationalities qualify for 15-day visa-free entry. Policies change frequently — confirm current rules with the Chinese embassy before travel.
